On this day, in 1918…

As this is the day before Veterans Day here in the United States and Remembrance Day elsewhere I thought it was interesting to see what was happening in the war on this day.

In the west the French and Americans were advancing and Romania was again taking up arms in the Balkans. In the halls of power in Constantinople the 282nd Grand Vizier was being appointed.

While http://www.firstworldwar.comsays he formed a pro-Entente Government, the fact that he lasted only until the 3rd of March 1919.
