Lawrence of Arabia

Who does not love the beautiful vistas in David Lean’s Lawrence of Arabia? If there is one thing that started my interest in this period is this film and how they portrayed the desert in it. The Desert was the start of this film. Just never got top billing.

Auda abu Tayi (ok Anthony Quinn) and Lawrence (Peter O’Toole) take part in one of the great cavalry charges ever done on film at Aqaba. A battle I have always wanted to game.

OK reality check, it is only a movie. And Lean did take a few liberties, but TE Lawrence did that as well. More on that latter.

Now on to the “Big Push”.
